Starting Salary: $25,663 to $27,202 (Non-Exempt Pay Range 8)

This position is within the Conservation Team, one of three teams
within Preservation.  Reports to Senior Conservation Technician.
Incumbent will undertake conservation treatments including, but not
limited to, recasing and rebacking, creating protective enclosures,
encapsulation, pamphlet binding, and minor/intermediate repairs for
materials selected for commercial rebinding.  All treatments will be
performed  in accordance with established standards for
conservationally-sound repairs to library and archival materials.
Duties also include assisting with hiring and supervising student
workers, assisting with the maintenance and organization of the lab,
tracking materials in the lab using online system, performing
quality control of lab work, and assisting with assessment of
incoming materials.

Qualifications: Three years experience directly related to the
primary duties of the position and High School Diploma or GED.
