We wish to appoint an accredited paper conservator as Chief
Conservator and Head of the Book and Paper Conservation Studio in
the University Library.  The Studio is a well-established regional
centre for paper-based materials and has an international
reputation.  This full-time post involves marketing the Studio's
services, and managing several skilled conservators, in a
cost-recovery environment.

Minimum requirements for applicants are a recognised qualification
in book or paper conservation, together with a demonstrated ability
to manage a studio in a competitive environment  and to generate
income.  PACR accreditation is desirable.  Self-motivation and
enthusiasm are essential.

You will be a self starter with the ability to work without direct
supervision.  You will be an enthusiastic team player, with proven
management ability, well developed communication and interpersonal
skills, with a flexible but firm approach to problem solving.
Versatility, flexibility and the ability to work successfully under
pressure in a busy environment are required.
