Salary Scale 5/6: UKP18,509 - UKP22,289 per annum

We are seeking a qualified and experienced paper conservator to work
with materials in the Library's Special Collections, which include
rare books, archives, ephemera, greetings cards, prints and
decorated papers.

Manchester Metropolitan University Library is nationally renowned
for its collections relating to the field of art and design, and our
Special Collections gained MLA Accredited Museum status in 2005. The
successful candidate will be one of a small team working to
facilitate and promote access to these collections, as well as
conserving them.

You will need to be aware of current practices in paper conservation
and book preservation. You must possess a degree or post graduate
qualification in conservation and show evidence of recent
professional updating.
