Digital Imaging Technician Position
National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)

The US National Archives and Records Administration has posted a
position for a Digital Imaging Technician in the Digital Imaging Lab
of the Special Media Preservation Laboratory, Preservation Programs,
National Archives at College Park, 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park,
MD 20470.

The Digital Imaging Technician will perform duties associated with
digitizing original archival records and photographic intermediates,
managing digital images produced, creating technical/administrative
metadata, and producing hardcopy output. The Technician will work on
a range of projects, including routine digitization, special
requests, and moderately complex projects. Also, the Technician will
conduct quality control inspection of work produced to ensure that
lab standards are being maintained and provided to the lab for
storage by other organizations. The Technician will be responsible
for calibration of all types of equipment, trouble-shooting of
hardware and software, set-up, testing, and upgrading of equipment.
