Preservation Services Librarian
SOLINET

The Southeastern Library Network, Inc. (SOLINET) is currently
seeking creative preservation professionals for two Preservation
Services Librarian positions.  As members of an enthusiastic team,
the Preservation Services Librarians will provide educational
services to improve the preservation of analog and digital
collections in libraries and archives.  SOLINET Preservation
Services promotes preservation through proactive leadership and
collaboration with partners throughout the region and nation. The
Preservation Services Librarian positions are funded by a grant from
the National Endowment for the Humanities, Division of Preservation
and Access.

Job responsibilities include: Developing and conducting educational
programs; providing information and referral services; researching
and writing articles on analog and digital preservation; consulting
with southeastern libraries and archives; and participating in
preservation activities on a national and regional level.

Requirements include: One to two years of specialized preservation
education or work experience (traditional and/or digital
collections); experience teaching workshops and/or giving
presentations; excellent interpersonal skills; ability and
willingness to travel; and MLS or equivalent.
