Fan

I have received a query regarding an old silk and mother of pearl
fan with ostrich feathers.  It measures 18 inches wide by 11 inches
high when opened. The owner would like to have it framed for display
on a wall in her home. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to
mount a fan so that it can be displayed vertically?  Would a sink
mat in a sealed frame using UV filtering plexiglass be appropriate?
