Conservation Technician
Jewish Theological Seminary

The Library of the Jewish Theological Seminary is seeking a
part-time conservation technician to perform a variety of tasks
under the supervision of the conservators in the care of the
Library's special collections.  Primary responsibilities include the
following: assisting with rehousing projects, manufacturing
protective enclosures, and encapsulation.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in an art-related field
or equivalent work experience and should be familiar with the
principles of conservation.  Prior experience working with
paper-based collections and the creation of protective enclosures is
highly desired.  Good oral and written communication skills,
flexibility, and team work are essential.

Hours: 17 hours/week
Salary: $15/hour
