The Onset HOBO LCD dataloggers are compatible with a Palm-based datalogger shuttle software called HandCar Pro (It's not USB compatible, and requires a serial download cable). I've been using this set-up with a Palm m500 for years, and it have been quite happy with it. Unfortunately, it appears as if Onset is no longer offering this software. I know that it was a constant headache for them to keep updating the software every time Palm updated their product line. If you have access to an older Palm device and can sweet-talk Onset into shipping you a copy of the software and the appropriate download cable, you'll be all set. It's worth a try--their customer service and tech support people are usually very accommodating.
