ICA Chersonesos Project

The Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICA), University of Texas at
Austin, as part of its conservation program at The National Preserve
of Turic Chersonesos (NPTC), Sevastopol, Ukraine
<URL:http://www.utexas.edu/research/ica/Chersonesos.htm> is
undertaking a project of conservation, mounting and display of a
group of unique, polychrome Hellenistic grave stelai from the museum
collection. The project will run for two months, the first session
running from mid November 2005 until mid December 2005 and the
second session running from Mid February 2006 until mid March 2006.
ICA is looking for an assistant conservator, with experience in the
conservation of polychrome stone objects and museum display mount
manufacture, to join the team responsible for the project.

The assistant conservator will assist ICA's head of conservation and
the NPTC conservators in all aspects of conservation and mount
making required to produce the display.

A stipend of $75/Day, for a 6 day week is available and all travel
and subsistence will be provided.
