Museum Conservator Royal Saskatchewan Museum Regina, Canada The Curatorial Unit at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum (RSM) is seeking a professional Conservator. The RSM is the primary repository for the provincial government collections in palaeontology, zoology, botany, archaeology, and ethnology, and maintains a small Fine Art collection. The RSM also provides consultative services in conservation to other institutions, especially in Saskatchewan. As Conservator, you will be responsible for all aspects of conservation, conduct original research in conservation, and curate the museum's Fine Art collection. You will also participate in the development of policy and the operations of the Curatorial Unit, and provide services in conservation, information, and guidance to other museums as required. Note: Some travel will be required. The successful applicant shall be subject to a Criminal Record Check. Typically, the knowledge required for this position would have been obtained by completing a Master's degree in conservation from an accredited university along with directly related work experience associated with collections-based conservation in a museum environment.
