Conference on furniture

From: Jake Kaner <jkaner01<-a>
Date: Tuesday, September 27, 2005
The Third Twentieth Century Furniture Research Group Conference
Friday, November 11, 2005

This exciting programme of lectures is aimed at furniture
historians, furniture conservators, design historians, curators,
students, researchers and others with an interest in primary
research into twentieth century furniture, related materials and
design.

The twentieth century furniture research group (TCFRG) formed in
March 2001 and is led by Prof. Jake Kaner. It is situated within the
Faculty of Design's Research Centre for Furniture.

A central aim of the TCFRG is to promote and preserve furniture
manufactured in the Chilterns throughout the twentieth century;
which is materialising through our important archive of company
records, photographs, designs, working drawings and visual accounts
(film and voice recordings).

If you have any information or material, which you would like to
have considered for this aim, then please contact the research
centre at the High Wycombe campus.
