Polyurethane foam

Barry Knight's helpful posting on polyurethane foam deterioration is
a timely reminder that polyurethane foam can turn up in unexpected
places. For example, I have just found out today that the Clarkson
Book Supports sold by Polyformes (a polyethylene foam supplier) are
polyurethane. This explains why some pads have discoloured even
though they are only about 5 years old and have not been much used.
