Conservation laboratory assistant

Subscribers to the distlist might be interested to know that Exeter
Museums Conservation Department (UK) is currently looking for a
part-time conservation laboratory assistant, initially to March
2006, but could be extended for up to 2 years subject to funding.

We will also be looking to appoint 5 contract conservators in the
near future, in the following disciplines: 2 in Archaeology and
Social History objects, 1 in General Objects and Collections Care, 1
in Decorative Surfaces and Historic Frames, and 1 in Works of Art on
Paper. Posts will appear on the aforementioned website from early
September (applications by Sept 28. 2005). Again, contracts are
initially to March 2006, but may be extended for between 1 and 4
years subject to funding.
