Assistant Paper Conservator British Postal Museum and Archive (BPMA) London UKP24,000 - UKP28,000 The British Postal Museum and Archive (BPMA) <URL:http://www.postalheritage.org.uk/> is seeking an enthusiastic paper conservator to support the Conservator and Preservation Manager, assisting with a varied programme of practical paper conservation of archive and artwork material, as well as preventive conservation. This exciting new role needs a self-motivated, committed team-player who can adapt to the varying demands of this busy studio, bringing both hands-on experience and a thoughtful approach to delivery. You will need excellent practical and reporting skills along with the ability to produce high quality work within agreed deadlines. You will have a recognised Postgraduate qualification in paper conservation with at least five years practical experience and be able to demonstrate good working knowledge of health and safety requirements. Membership of a professional conservation body is essential. The BPMA is committed to help the postholder work towards accreditation from the Institute of Conservation.
