Subject: Event recognizing conservation efforts
Art conservation enthusiasts, your day may also be coming. At a unique event, my art engineering conservation work in Westchester, California for ten years and 46-year efforts to 'save the Watts Towers' in Watts are being recognized! On Saturday September 17 at 5 p.m. a special concert, the first, from the World festival of sacred music and a group recognition ceremony will take place at UCLA in an event initiated by the Dalai Lama. The ceremony recognizes 2-dozen local Dalai Lama 'Heroes' on stage before the audience at this benefit concert at the outdoor amphitheater of the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center, 11 De Neve Drive, Los Angeles CA 90095. Please join me at Sunset Canyon and enjoy world music from the Tuva in Siberia, Czech Republic, Korea, West Africa, Mexico and Thailand in the kick-off to a 16-day festival featuring 1,000 artists over 16-days at 43 events in venues all across Los Angeles. For tickets call 310-825-2101 or use <URL:http://www.tickets.ucla.edu>. Children under 5 are free.
