The position is with the Conservation Unit of the National Air and
Space Museum located at the Paul E. Garber Facility in Suitland, MD.
The Position Title/Series and Grade is Conservator; GS-1001-11,
Salary: $52,468 - $68,209 per year.  Applications must be in the

A primary responsibility is the management and operation of the
Chemical Treatment Laboratory which supports the Museum's aircraft
restoration program.  Other duties include artifact examination and
treatment, preparation of condition reports for incoming and out
going loans, and environmental monitoring,
