Rubber doll

A china restorer without access to the web has asked for suggestions
on what might be used to mend the rubber head of a doll.

The head is approximately 76 mm (3 inches) in diameter and is
splitting away from the neck of the doll. The restorer would like to
be able to consolidate the fracture in some way but has no
experience of material made of rubber.
