Paintings Conservator National Gallery of Ireland Contract: 2 years fixed term Salary: Euro33,000-40,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. The Gallery is seeking to appoint a Paintings Conservator. Applicants should have: * A graduate qualification from a recognised conservation training program or equivalent training * 4 years experience in the field of Paintings Conservation * English-language skills and a proven record of ability. The successful candidate will be required to assist the Senior Conservator in all aspects of the Department's work. Responsibilities will include: * Involvement in all conservation activities * Carrying out conservation research in preparation of Gallery Catalogues * Preparing pictures for loans / exhibitions * Keeping reports on all treatments undertaken * Advising colleagues on conservation requirements of the Collection * Carrying out regular inspections on both storage and public areas of the Gallery * Becoming familiar with Health and Safety Guidelines.
