For those who might have problems with Menda bottles not sucking up
fluid onto their lidded pans any more:  There is a steel ball just
above the valve where the plastic pipe is attached--if it doesn't
rattle when shaken then it has become stuck.  A pointed implement up
the tube will unstick it and it works again.
