"Preparacion para Prevenir Desastres" Pontifical Catholic University, Puerto Rico July 19, 2005 9am-4pm Instructor: Dr. Alfred Lemmon Director of the Historic New Orleans Collection's Williams Research Center Seats are still available in the SOLINET Preservation class "Preparacion para Prevenir Desastres". Students enrolled in library or archives programs may attend at half price, and anyone living in Puerto Rico may attend at the member price, thanks to a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Division of Preservation and Access. This one-day class will provide the training necessary to plan, organize, and execute a disaster plan and a salvage operation. In addition to in-depth discussion on the disaster planning process, there will be demonstrations of salvage techniques and group exercises. Cost: $145.00 for SOLINET members, $185.00 for non-members. Anyone living in Puerto Rico may attend at the member rate, and students may attend at half price.
