Cultural Heritage Awards The Swedish working group PRE-MAL awarded by Wuropa Nostra. The European Union and Europa Nostra--the pan-European federation for heritage--announced the winners of the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage/Europa Nostra Awards 2004 at the European Awards Ceremony at the Hakonshallen in Bergen, Norway. Europa Nostra's President, HRH the Prince Consort of Denmark, and Mr Harald Hartung, Head of the Culture Unit at the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission, presented the awards to 38 laureates from 21 countries across Europe, including two Swedish projects. In total, five monetary prizes of Euro10,000, thirteen Medals and twenty Diplomas were presented for a series of exemplary achievements throughout Europe.
