First day:

    Introduction to the history of the manufacture processes
    Introduction to various treatment techniques:

        Every participant gets an object on which he/she will
        practice the following treatments

            *   removal of tapes, water and pressure sensitive
            *   mending of tears with different adhesives
            *   mending losses with tracing paper
            *   flattening, demonstration of Hard-Soft-Sandwich

Second day:

    Every participant will has the opportunity to practice to
    following treatments

            *   dyeing of mending paper
            *   lining with Japanese paper and starch paste
            *   paper pulp application
            *   final discussion

The main focus of the seminar is to gain an understanding of the
several treatment techniques through hands-on working on originals
and dummies.

Fees: 250 Euro, 230 Euro for members of IADA
