New book on preservation of electronic records

The Canadian Conservation Institute is pleased to announce the
release of the following publication:

    Preservation of Electronic Records: New Knowledge and
    Decision-making--Postprints

The preservation of electronic records is one of the latest
challenges facing the conservation and heritage communities. It is a
complex and multifaceted task that includes content, media,
hardware, and software.

"Symposium 2003 -  Preservation of Electronic Records: New Knowledge
and Decision-making" was held in Ottawa, Canada, from September
15-18, 2003 for the purpose of increasing awareness of the issues
surrounding the preservation of electronic records. This book of
postprints contains the complete text of all papers presented at the
symposium (in the language of presentation) along with abstracts in
both English and French for each. It will be useful for anyone with
electronic records in their collections.
