Project Conservator - Director's Correspondence Three year fixed-term appointment Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew The Directors' Correspondence is an internationally significant collection of letters addressed to the Directors of Kew from the early 19th century until 1928. Amongst others, correspondents such as Charles Darwin and David Livingstone are represented in the collection. We now seek a conservator for three years to re-format the collection from bound volumes to Fascicules in line with current conservation practices. The successful candidate will have a graduate qualification, or equivalent, in Archives Paper Conservation or at least three years proven experience in an archives conservation department. A knowledge of Fasciculing and traditional repair techniques will be essential. Starting salary will be in the range of UKP17,505 to UKP18,705 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
