Day 1:

    10am            Arrival and Registration.
                    Opening remarks
                    Introduction of the participants

                    Coffee break

    11:30am-2pm     How to organize a project management plan in
                    conservation

                    A packet-lunch will be served.

    3-5pm           Participants will write a project management
                    plan and we will have a question session to
                    answer questions and doubts.

Day 2:

    10am-12pm       Documentation of all the pieces that would be
                    restored

                    Coffee break

    12-2pm          How to write a budget (time and costs) for the
                    project management plan

                    A packet-lunch will be served.

    3-5pm           Participants will write a budget, and we will
                    have a question session to answer questions and
                    doubts.

Price:250 Euro/$250

Language: English/Spanish.  The teacher will speak in Spanish
(questions may be asked in French and Italian), but the PowerPoint
will be projected in English. The documentation of the course will
be in English.

Materials: Participants will receive a cd with the powerpoint and
the lectures (cd). Two packet-lunch are included.

Participants : Students and professionals. conservators, restorers
and curators

Teacher:

    Josep Maria Xarrie  Rovira (1943) became a restorer for the MNAC
    Museu d'Art de Catalunya workgroup. This was until 1974, when he
    became a professor of restoration in the Fine Arts department of
    the U.B. (University of Barcelona). After 1981, he left the
    academic world to fully dedicate himself to conserving objects
    of cultural heritage for the Catalan public administration,
    where he became director of the S.R.B.M de la Generalitat de
    Catalunya, where he currently works today. In the Conservation
    Center he has managed the restoration of  10,000 conservation
    works.

    He has been a restoration consultant for UNESCO in various Latin
    American countries, as well as founding member since 1976 of the
    organizing committee of the congress on restoration of cultural
    objects in Spain, promoted by ICOM. Recently he has written the
    book Restauracio d'obres d'art a Catalunya.
