A Scholarship in Fine Metalwork Conservation
The South Square Trust
West Dean College

The South Square Trust is generously offering a Scholarship to
enable a young person to undertake one year's training in the
Conservation and Restoration of Fine Metalwork at West Dean College.
The Postgraduate Diploma Programme, validated by the University of
Sussex, has an international reputation. It operates from a
purpose-designed, well equipped workshop, and has the active support
of metal conservators in the museum and private sectors.

The Scholarship covers all tuition costs and approximately one third
of the accommodation fees for the academic year 2005/2006.

Applications from UK nationals are invited from current or recent
students in relevant fields. These might include goldsmithing,
silversmithing, jewellery making or relevant conservation
disciplines. Applicants will have to undergo a practical test at
West Dean followed by an interview.
