Source for rolled cotton sought

>Rolled Cotton. Does anyone have a good long chain cotton

Although it is not a substitute for J&J's Red Cross, we have long
used shorter fiber, *unsterile* cotton as an alternative. Although
it tends to shed more readily, the brand we use is much softer than
the Red Cross. It rolls very well. And it is about 1 to 2 1/3 the
cost of sterile cotton. (I suspect from the prices that some of the
alternatives suggested in other posts are also *non-sterile). So, we
use it for general use in the studio, reserving the Red Cross for
special cases where the texture of the paint or stickiness of the
process dictates the use of longer fiber stock.

    Minneapolis, MN 55430

Specialist Cotton: Kelco Grade 2 (non-sterile)

This and other absorbent cotton roll stock, including Webril,
    can be found at

Do not be shocked--this is a mortuary supply company!

Our suppliers of J&J have substituted the following:

    Square One Medical Supply

American Fiber and Finishing U.S.P. Sterile Cotton
    1 pound roll @ $19.95

This is probably the best/most similar substitute.

    American Surgical Supply
    Kendal Curity Non-Sterile Cotton
    1 pound roll, $12.75
