UKP19,993 - UKP25,992 per annum plus final salary or stakeholder
pension

We are seeking a physical scientist to be responsible for providing
NMS's inorganic materials research service to support curatorial and
conservation work and initiate new artefact and conservation science
studies. You will have good understanding and knowledge of material
issues and analytical methods, preferably with specialist knowledge
of X-ray fluorescence and electron microscopy applied to the study
of historical materials. You will have a degree (or equivalent) in a
relevant scientific discipline, plus a higher degree or recognised
diploma for research, or significant relevant experience. You will
have ability in, and ideally experience of, managing research
projects and supervising students and volunteers.
