Colour Index

Would past Colour Index information be useful to you? Often the
Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) is asked about information
published in previous editions of the Colour Index, which is no
longer easily available. We are currently canvassing potential
support for a 'Heritage Edition' of the Colour Index on DVD.

This would contain page images of all previous editions of the
Colour Index, going back to the First Edition published in 1926,
supplemented by the so-called Additions and Amendments, which were
published quarterly for many years, before electronic publication on
the web was adopted. The pages would be presented as images in
Portable Document format (PDF), referenced by contents pages
(bookmarks). This would allow the user to look back through all the
historical information published prior to the Fourth Edition.  This
DVD would be offered on a pre-publication subscription basis, at a
price dependent on the level of commitment received. Details will
