Subject: Magazine article
The May issue of the Washingtonian Magazine has an article about me and the Nishio Conservation Studio. The magazine will be available the last week of April on magazine stands and in book stores. The conservation staff of Nishio Conservation Studio and I were interviewed by a Washingtonian writer and a photographer in the studio in March. They heard about us from a well-known architectural designer, Nestor Santa-Cruz, with whom I have worked and who has also been featured in the magazine. This article introduces Asian painting conservation and the Nishio Conservation Studio to the public. Nishio conservation Studio is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year. There will be another article about our studio in the summer issue of the Japan Air Lines Magazine. The writer and photographers will come from Japan to interview us in June. If you ever fly JAL, please take a look. I will also be presenting a documentary video that I wrote and directed: The Conservation of Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's Grapevine Screen at the Book and Paper Group of the AIC Annual Meeting in Minneapolis. That was my first professional video project and was commissioned by the ISG museum and supported by an IMLS Grant. Please do not miss it if you are at the AIC Annual Meeting and interested in the video format of documentation.
