"Angels Across America: Caring for our Architectural Heritage"

On the weekends of April 23, April 30, and May 14, 2005, groups of
conservators and preservation specialists are carrying out volunteer
projects in several different locations across the country as part
of "Angels Across America: Caring for our Architectural Heritage,"
an event organized by the Architecture Specialty Group (ASG) of the
American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic
Works (AIC).

On behalf of the coordinators for each event, I would like to invite
those that are near one of the regional Angel's events to sign-up
and participate. The events have been created to bring some
attention to the efforts of everyone working in the conservation and
heritage preservation professional arena, to inform the public to
better understand "What do conservators do?" and to provide
assistance at historic sites which desperately need our skills.

There are events in 7 cities and their surrounding areas, most of
them scheduled on the same day, April 23, 2005 under the banner of
the AIC-ASG providing "Angels Across America". Take advantage of
this opportunity to get involved working side by side with new
associates and old friends while helping raise awareness of our role
in preserving our cultural heritage in the public eye.

Contact the coordinators listed below to sign up for an event. In
some locations, space permits a limited number of volunteers. Thanks
in advance to all of the volunteers.
