Preventive Conservation Officer

UKP19,993 - UKP25,992 per annum plus final salary or stakeholder
pension

We are looking for an excellent preventive conservator to provide
advice on the care of NMS collections; to develop policies and
procedures to maintain and improve standards of collections care;
and to provide technical expertise for specific issues. You will
have a good knowledge and understanding of the standards required in
preventive conservation and of the environmental, storage, handling
and display needs of museum collections.

You will have a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, plus a
professional conservation qualification and at least 5 years'
relevant work experience in a museum, or similar environment. An
effective communicator with good analytical ability, you will be
organised, methodical, adept at problem solving and will have good
ICT skills. A driving licence is desirable.
