Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, MO has an excellent
conservation pre-program position.  The position will examine,
document and perform maintenance treatment on outdoor sculpture in
the Museum's sculpture park during peak seasons.  Position will
involve some lifting and working from heights of up to 20 ft.  Works
Monday - Friday, 1-3 hours, 5 days a week from April - September.
More hours as specific projects require.  Must be willing to work in
all weather.

Candidates should have a BA or BA Fine Arts; understanding and
sensitivity to sculptural materials in metal and other media;
ability to use artist's materials in a precise and careful manner;
proven experience showing self-motivation and strong detail
orientation; highly reliable and have good hand skills.   Ability to
work with the public in an outdoor environment required. Digital
photographic and Adobe Photoshop skills desirable.
