Over the last 35 years, British book artist Martin Frost has painted
over 3,000 book-edges. The illustrated lecture will describe the
genesis and progress of this little known form of book decoration.
Examples from the artist's collection and his tools will also be on
display.

The Mansion, grounds, greenhouse and Library will be open to
attendees until 8:00 PM

Closest Metro: Van Ness/UDC on the Red line. 20 minute walk from
Metro: south on Conn. Ave., turn left on Upton St. to Linnean Ave.,
turn right to 1st gate on left. By car: from Conn. Ave. take Tilden
St. toward the park and turn left on Linnean Ave.  Enter through the
Service Gate. Parking is free.
