Internship at National Gallery of Art

The National Gallery of Art offers an unpaid one year internship in
Painting Conservation beginning in September.  The internship is
intended to augment the applicant's graduate school or comparable
apprentice work with the experience of working with the painting
conservation staff in a large institution.  The successful candidate
will participate in all aspects of the department's activities,
including research, collection maintenance, travel, and major and
minor treatments.  Applicants should send a letter of interest, two
letters of recommendation, and transcripts of academic studies, both
undergraduate and graduate, to

Interviews may be conducted by telephone if necessary.  Deadline for
applications is March 31.  The successful candidate will be notified
by May 15.
