Suction tables

The National Archives of Scotland conservation section is seeking
advice from colleagues prior to purchase of a vacuum suction table.
Most of the applications will be archive based, although it will
also have to be suitable for the treatment of prints and drawings.
We would like to hear from anyone who could give us advice on models
in use that they would recommend for a variety of conservation
procedures.  Comments specifically on noise level, maintenance and
general pros and cons would be gratefully appreciated.
