Subject: Silicone
A curator colleague interested in acquiring a soft, deformable seat made from silicone has asked for advice on the longevity of the material from a collections care perspective. If anyone has made a conservation assessment for a silicone object, contributed to a decision on whether to acquire one or is investigating the preservation of this material, I would be very grateful to hear from them.
