Consolidating silk passementerie

I am currently conserving silk passementerie that is producing
copious amounts of silk dust. Does anyone have any experience of
consolidating trimmings? There has been suggestions of the use of
Klucel G or Paraloid B72. Can anyone offer any suggestions or ideas?
