Call for papers IPC 5th International Conference The Edinburgh International Conference Centre July 27-29 2006 The Institute of Paper Conservation will be holding its fifth international conference in the centre of Edinburgh at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre from Thursday 27th July to Saturday 29th July. The conference will celebrate 30 years of achievement in conservation and focus on the relationship of practical conservation and preservation of paper and book in the 21st century The conference aims to provide a forum for debate, while reporting achievements and imparting information and expertise, that will bring together students of conservation, professional conservators and conservation scientists. Illustrated presentations or posters are invited on the following: * Case studies in paper conservation and paper science * Changes in working methods: including technological advances * The perceived shift towards preservation * A review of materials in conservation: historical and modern Contributions will be selected by committee. Closing date is 28 February 2005.
