Conservation internships Milwaukee Public Museum Summer 2005 Academic Year 2005-2006 The Conservation Lab of the Milwaukee Public Museum is offering both postgraduate and summer internships for a student interested in gaining practical and professional experience in a natural history museum with Anthropology and Decorative Arts Collections. The Museum has a busy exhibition schedule and one of the primary responsibilities of the intern will be to work with Museum Conservators in all aspects involved in preparing collections for scheduled in-house exhibits and out-going loans. In addition to exhibition and loan work, a variety of conservation projects are available that can be tailored to the intern's specific interests. A specific project for Summer 2005 will be a condition survey and re-housing project for our WW1 poster collection. This internship has funding. A minimum 6-8 week commitment is desired.
