Conservation internships
Milwaukee Public Museum
Summer 2005
Academic Year 2005-2006

The Conservation Lab of the Milwaukee Public Museum is offering both
postgraduate and summer internships for a student interested in
gaining practical and professional experience in a natural history
museum with Anthropology and Decorative Arts Collections. The
Museum has a busy exhibition schedule and one of the primary
responsibilities of the intern will be to work with Museum
Conservators in all aspects involved in preparing collections for
scheduled in-house exhibits and out-going loans. In addition to
exhibition and loan work, a variety of conservation projects are
available that can be tailored to the intern's specific interests.

A specific project for Summer 2005 will be a condition survey and
re-housing project for our WW1 poster collection. This internship
has funding.

A minimum 6-8 week commitment is desired. Information about the
museum is available at "<URL:http://www.mpm.edu>
<URL:http://www.mpm.edu> ". Funding for Academic Year internships is
available pending approval.

Please send a letter of interest and resume by April 1, 2005 to:
