Limit of tenure: 24 months from date of commencement.

The Museum is seeking to appoint a conservator to work on the Handel
Manuscripts. The person appointed will work within the Museum's
Department of Manuscripts and Printed Books on a collection of early
manuscript copies of Handel's music. The collection suffers from
general deterioration and iron gall ink corrosion.  He/she will be
expected to have a recognised qualification and experience in the
field of paper/book conservation and book binding.  A familiarity
with the latest iron gall ink corrosion treatment research will be
an advantage.

The successful applicant would be expected to take up the
appointment on 3 May or soon after.
