Antimicrobial powder coating

From: Jill K. Harris <jillharr>

Has anyone heard of an antimicrobial powder coating on compactor
storage units? It is apparently a time-released germicide that is
99.9994% effective in controlling the growth of bacteria, mold, and
mildew on the powder coated surface.

If you've heard of it, do you know where I can find out more
information on it. How safe it is for specimens (natural history)
or library materials? How long has it been available, and has there
been any studies on it's long term affect on collections.

Any information anyone can provide would be helpful.
