Subject: Faded document
A customer has given us a printed circuit wiring diagram on paper. It has been sitting inside a machine, for some 20 years or more. The machine produced steam and hot air, and the diagram has taken the full brunt of this atmosphere. Ninety percent of the diagram has faded, to almost nothing. Virtually unreadable. They have asked if we can bring back the print to readability level. They indicated that some years ago they had seen a document with faded printed ink similarly brought back to life, by the immersion in some liquid. They couldn't give the nature of the fading of this earlier document. Does anyone know of this process?
