National Museums Liverpool is a unique organisation with
responsibilities both as a major national museum group, and as a
regional and local museum service for people in Liverpool and the
northwest.

Sculpture Conservator

    We are looking for a Sculpture Conservator to work in our award
    winning Conservation Centre.  Your main duties will focus on
    income generation work and there will be a need for you to work
    on projects involving contract work for other museums, churches
    and heritage bodies.

    You will have conservation qualification, a range of craft
    skills in sculpture, together with a proven track record of
    practical sculpture conservation. You should have excellent
    report writing, documentation and photographic skills; these
    should be coupled with good management, communication and
    organisational skills, which are essential requirements for this
    post.  Experience of work with contracts, and knowledge of
    Microsoft Office would be an advantage.

Assistant Sculpture Conservator (2 positions)
Salary UKP13,133 pro rata
5 Month Fixed Term Contract

    We are looking for two Assistant Sculpture Conservators to work
    within the Sculpture Conservation Section.

    You will be based at the Conservation Centre, although a large
    part of your work being undertaken offsite.  You will have 5
    GCSE's or equivalent and have practical conservation experience.
    Laser training is desirable.  You will have good craft skills
    and be self motivated with good interpersonal skills.  Knowledge
    of archaeology or the history of sculpture is desirable, as is
    experience of documentation and record keeping, photography and
    computing

    The closing date for receipt of completed applications is Monday
    15 November 2004.
