Training school on synchrotron analysis of ancient materials Saint-Aubin Dec 14-18, 2004 The Synchrotron SOLEIL will organize the first COST G8 training school on the synchrotron analysis of ancient materials from the 14th to the 18th of December 2004 in Saint-Aubin (Paris region, France). The school will aim at providing scientists working on the analysis of ancient artifacts with an in-depth presentation of the new possibilities offered by synchrotron radiation techniques. The program will include: * lectures on the current challenges regarding the study of ancient metals, ancient pigments and organic materials and * courses focussed on synchrotron techniques * case studies, visits and tutorials to combine these two approaches.
