This will stick forever--Attaching and Releasing (PNyME/IADA)

The Hungarian Technical Association of the Paper and Printing
Industry, Restoration Section (PNyME/Restaurator Szakosztalya)
together with the International Association of Book and Paper
Conservators (IADA) is organizing an International Symposium
dedicated to the subject of attaching and releasing in paper
conservation, which will take place on 25-27 May 2005 in Budapest.
Presentations should focus on solving "real life" conservation
problems caused by adhesives, chemical and physical properties of
adhesives, the introduction of new products, the evaluation of
former treatments and other subjects of interest for paper
conservators. Presentation languages are English and Hungarian, with
translation into both languages. Participants will receive hand-outs
of all presentations in English and German. Papers of presentations
will be published in subsequent issues of "PapierRestaurierung".

Deadline for abstracts is 15 January 2005. Abstracts of the lectures
should be submitted by e-mail to
anna.buelow [at] nationalarchives__gov__uk. Please download and use the
template at <URL:http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/iada/fort_bud.dot>.
Abstracts must be written in both, English and German. If necessary,
a translation of the summary into German may be made available upon
request. Companies and institutions interested in sponsoring are
asked to contact IADA: markus.klasz [at] papier-restaurierung__com.
