Salary  up to UKP28119 per annum

The Horniman Museum is offering an excellent opportunity for an
experienced and enthusiastic individual to assist with the
management of the Collections Conservation and Care Section and to
participate in a wide range of Museum projects. Currently the Museum
is working towards two new temporary exhibitions, on the Americas '
>From Amazon to Caribbean' and a display on West African textiles.

The Conservation Section is responsible for the care of the Museum's
collections of Anthropology, Musical instruments and Natural
History. The collections are used to illustrate the world we live in
- our cultures, arts, crafts, music and natural environment.

Applicants should have a minimum of four years' post qualification,
practical experience in the care, documentation and treatment of a
wide-range of objects in a museum environment.  You must be either
an EU national or hold a current permit that will enable you to work
in the UK. The post will be available from 12 January 2005.
