Smithsonian American Art Museum

The Smithsonian American Art Museum seeks an objects conservator for
a temporary position not-to-exceed 2 years, posted at the GS 9/11
level. As the position is U.S. government-funded, only U.S. citizens
may apply. The conservator will assist in the preparation of
American sculpture and objects in a wide range of styles, time
periods, and media for re-installation in the newly-renovated
historic museum building in downtown Washington DC. The SAAM
conservation department will move in 2005 to the new Visible
Conservation Center in the original building.
