Conservation Officer (Works of Art on Paper) Department of Art National Museums and Galleries of Wales (NMGW) UKP22,000 - UKP33,620 per annum Applications are invited for the established post of Conservation Officer (Works of Art on Paper). The appointee will be principally responsible for the examination and treatment of the collection of works of art on paper held in the Art Department. These number around 20,000 items dating from the 16th century to the present day and include watercolours, prints, drawings and photographs. The appointee will also be expected to advise and support other departments within the NMGW on paper conservation issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the paper studio which currently employs an Assistant Conservation Officer and a Mount Cutter. Candidates should have a recognised qualification in Paper Conservation plus at least 5 years' practical experience.
