Update on Bigstuff: Care of Large Technology Objects

Occurring right before the ICOM-CC Metals 2004 conference, the
BigStuff Workshop will be an informal gathering focused on sharing
practical problems and solutions. A range of topics will be covered
including large technology treatment, maintenance, storage and
handling methods, curatorial input, training, volunteers,
tradespeople, private conservators, useful products and application
of new technologies such as remote datalogging and digital
photography. The workshop will include tours of the Memorial's state
of the art large technology treatment, storage and display areas and
a discussion session on future directions in large technology care.
